What are the Symptoms of Meniscus?
Meniscus is a structure consisting of cartilage-like tissues found in the knees of patients. The tissue is located at the junction of the two main leg bones in the knee, above and below. This tissue prevents the bones from coming into contact with each other. However, meniscus disease occurs as a result of damage to the tissue due to some reasons such as trauma or sudden adverse movements.
There are two menisci in each knee joint. The main symptoms of meniscus are swelling and pain in the knee. Before meniscus treatment, the condition of the meniscus tear should be clearly determined and the most appropriate treatment option should be decided accordingly.
